Were you Shocked at the Latest American Idol Elimination?
I have to say I was a bit surprised that Haley Reinhart was not in the bottom three on American Idol tonight. But who ended up in the bottom?
“After the nationwide vote”… we didn’t get an official bottom three. Contestants were just sent to safety until there were two left on stage – Scotty McCreery and Casey Abrams. And then Casey Abrams was announced as the contestant going home. Wow. I was shocked. Not completely shocked because I did think he was at risk – but I was really surprised that it was him going home and not Jacob Lusk or Haley Reinhart.
Were you surprised? Or did you think it was time for Casey to go home?
Obviously I think that Casey will go on and have a great career – he is such a different kind of performer and has a huge fan base. I really like him – I’m not sure I’d buy an album from him, but it depends on what he includes in an album. I know a lot of people who will be really sad this week though.

i think Scotty is a more representative of the American Idol. He is the all american kid. He can look at times he could be a little guy that wants to play pranks on people which is so funny and then he can look and melt a young girls heart. I am a over 60 girl from North Carolina and feel like he is the one to beat….He will be on The Country Music Awards as a winner soon….What a voice on this 17 year old.

Yes, I was shocked about Casey leaving but it was only a matter of time. Feel really it should have been Jacob….He needs to be in a choir and Casey needs to perform on broadway in a musical…..James is good but he is much better with his voice toned down a little….I think he is only doing some of the songs only for Stephen T.

I really expected Haley and Jacob at the bottom with Jacob heading home. He can do some big things at the top of his voice, but overall doesn’t have the stage presence, and sounds funny lower in his voice. I wonder if the final show will be Scotty and Lauren batteling it out? She’s trying a little more with her voice, while he is falling for the stereotypes, so Lauren just might come out on top.
On a completely different note – wondering if anyone thinks like me on this: Why does Ryan Seacrest where a suit and tie every show every single week. He looks like a Salesman up there. The performers dress hip and cool. The judges dress hip and cool. Ryan looks out of place. It’s so much nicer in the audition episodes when he’s casual and fits in better. What do you think.

Oh I would love to see Ryan get a makeover along with the contestants. That would be very fun – kind of breath a bit of life into his look. I get that a suit and tie is “host” attire – but it might be nice to have a bit of variety. Love the idea!

yes i was shoked how could james go home i was almost crying scotty sucks so do the girls im so sad i feel like punching the people who did not vote for JAMES DURBIN see ya next year

i dont even want to watch the show anymore cause durbin beat scotty in votes. im sure its rigged
