American Idol Hopeful Saved by the Judges
Don’t you hate it when you haven’t watched American Idol yet… and someone (not mentioning any names … IdolNews guys via Twitter)… someone spills the news about what happened in such a dramatic way… In the TITLE of their article???? Dang it!
Well… so obviously now I know that one of my favorite contestants was in the bottom three (gasp), and he/she was saved by the judges. It takes all the fun out of watching and being shocked… but I suppose I’ll watch now and be happy that I know who isn’t going home.
More to come … (after I’ve seen it for myself…)
Okay… I’m back and completely shocked by the bottom 2 contestants. I have to believe that the voters are skewed to the young pre-teen/teen fan base. Crazy.
But I’m very happy that all our favorites will be back again for another week.
Spoiler for those who haven’t heard…
Our bottom 3 this week included Michael Lynche, Andrew Garcia, and Aaron Kelly. Aaron was sent back to safety which left us with Michael and Andrew – neither of whom deserved to go home. When Michael was announced as the contestant at risk – shock ran through the whole studio. He sang “A Woman’s Work” beautifully… I mean… how could the judges NOT save him after a song like that? He’s truly amazingly talented and I hope all of the rest of his fans will pick up the phone next week.
I obviously loved hearing from David Archuleta again. His performance of “Imagine” was so pure, heartfelt and wonderful – I miss hearing him each week but was happy to hear that he’s got another album coming out soon.
And one side note comment: how in the world do artists fit into some of their outfits? Rihanna‘s skin tight, painted-on, black vinyl type outfit – I mean, how would someone even get into something like that? Wow. Of course, if I had a body like hers maybe I’d try to figure it out… (LOL).

We just caught the last 5 minutes and I was gasping. I couldn’t believe who the bottom two were. I was really just praying that they would save him because, seriously, come on. How did this craziness even happen?

Just got finished watching – and I have to believe that the American Idol fans who are voting are the young pre-teens rather than an older skewed audience with more refined tastes.
But I bet it wakes up fans a bit and gets people to vote.
