Hey all — well on my family poll a few weeks ago I put up a poll to see who would guess the next American Idol winner. Two of my nieces and myself picked Jordin Sparks as the winner — and it looks like we won! I really wanted Melinda to win, but figured with her star appeal, youth, cuteness and spunk that Jordin would end up having the most fans who would vote.

I wish her the best. She’s really darling and sings great. I hope the “star mill” won’t ruin her because she’s so young — I hope she’ll surround herself with true friends and family and keep her head on straight. She’s so cute, but when people become famous at such young ages it seems like many of them struggle.

Anyway, with the American Idol season over, now I’m looking forward to a fun filled summer!
